The release shifts easily from the sunshine swagger of classic GU ('Bittersweet') to more contemplative moods that nonetheless kick hard ('Ghost'and 'Wherever The Wind Takes Me'), finishing with a jazzier jam that recalls Detroit's mysterious Deterministic Finite Automata project as much as the usual Chicago suspects. This is another wellcalibrated addition to the daughter imprint of Chez Damier's Balance recordings, blending the old and the new to always push forward to the next frontier.
