Mineral Cuts is the new sub label of Belgium's Kalahari Oyster Cult which presents its much anticipated sophomore release exploring dance music's recent history. On this one we have the frantic, Kraftwerk sampling percolator jack of A side cut 'Trans-Sylvania by legendary Belgian producer Thotful Spot aka Rene de Ruyter, getting that old school vibe in effect - it's actually from 1994 so that figures. Over on the flip, we have the hypnotic trance reductions of Nuw Idol's 'Restore', an underground progressive house classic originally from 1993. Nuw Idol was one of many aliases of German born/London-based producer Michel Spiegel who went on to run the hard dance imprint WellWicked - now defunct since 2003.
