The legend and influence of Underground Resistance only grows with time, even much of the Detroit collective's label wares remain hard to find, expensive and out of print. This EP from Galaxy 2 Galaxy aka a live electronic and jazz collective featuring members of the UR stable such as Esteban Adame, Santiago Salazar, DJ Dex, Gerald Mitchell, Raphael Merriweathers Jr and Mike Banks. The name was only ever used for this one EP, but few Eps have proven to be as definitive. The highlight is the Detroit techno and jazz fusion 'Hi Tech Jazz' from 1993, which set the blueprint for a style that people still try and ape today. The Model 500 co-produced electro-dreamer 'Journey Of The Dragons' is a sumptuous rush. 'Astral Apache' has a more intergalactic energy and 'Star Sailing' is a thriving ecosystem of acid, synth-heavy jazz, analogue drums and pure futuristic vision.
