'Higher Me' is a storming, tech-tinged slice of brilliantly crispy dub house, driven by the soulful vocals of Prince Morella and rooted somewhere between Chicago swing, Berlin precision and Kingston depth. The original comes as both a full vocal cut and a cavernous dub, each balancing razor sharp percussion with rolling low-end pressure and fuzzy textures. On the flip, Mob's rework pushes further into dub techno territory by tightening the groove and amplifying the throbbing low end with spacious chords and submerged textures. A heavyweight package for serious systems.
