Latress - Pyramid EP

Latress' Pyramid EP is a three-tracker that showcases the artist's ability to create deep and dubby techno with exploratory percussion, and a focus on abstracted rhythm. Its name is no wonder, as it really does seem as though each track is an exercise in challenging our sense of time and metre. Opener 'Asplenium' has no clear on-beat, while follow-uppers 'Demolition' and 'Subtle Vapors' opt for a wonkier approach that nevertheless succeeds in evoking a trance state in the listener.
