Gold standard house label Toy Tonics operates at what you might call the traditional end of the spectrum but always manages to find fertile new ground within that. This is another case in point, an excellent EP from Nathalie Duchene that gets the party vibes going from the off. 'Praia' is a hearty disco house serving with lashing of funk and an exotic vocal. The Yuksek remix is all big Philly strings and camp disco energy while 'Glatson' slips into a deeper, darker, more late night but still melodically cosmic groove. A Boom Bass remix then explores Mediterranean house soundscapes.
