London's Rob Pearson & Dave Mothersole were at the forefront of early 00s tech-house, crafting records that blurred deep, tribal and acid influences into rolling, hypnotic grooves. Here, one of their most sought-after cuts gets a fresh reissue, saving collectors from the Discogs premium. The A-side Original Mix is pure London tech energy - dubbed-out vocal snippets, snaking percussion and a bassline that locks dancers into its pulse. On the flip, Iteration X takes things into murkier, heads-down territory. Unearthed from long-lost DATs, the Distant Relative Mix drives on throbbing low-end, lush pads and the kind of sustained tension that rewards patience in the mix.
