Release description
French outfit Jeroboam return to Space Grapes with 'See The Light', a loose-limbed, synth-splashed boogie burner that builds on their cult 2022 debut on the same label. Still shrouded in low-key mystery, the Paris-based group are known for playing it all live - horns, bass, drums and keys - with a strong bent toward vintage recording techniques and a raw, demo-tape feel. 'See The Light' leans into falsetto hooks and syrupy groove, while 'In The Spirit' flips the mood with a skittish uptempo jazz-funk strut. On the flip, label heads Danilo Plessow (aka Motor City Drum Ensemble) and Bobby van Putten stretch the title cut into an extended dub, all space echo and rising pressure. It's another analogue transmission beamed straight from the jam room.
