Detroit legend Juan Atkins dons again his Audiotech guise for a renewed spin of his 1987 Express Records cut, a moment of schematic sharpening for techno at large. A very early contribution to the sound, 'I'm Your Audio Tech' - a sure innuendo - lands again as a freshly polished Metroplex edition, placing this two-tracker in dialogue with the rest of Atkins' vast shape-shifting aliases and his steady refinement of the Detroit pulse. The original is an askew mirror image of the 'Tech Mix' on the B, tilting the formula to a more menacing mood.
