Moon Man - Big Fat Woman

Moon Man, if you didn't know, is an alias of Boo Williams. The Chicago producer has long been honing his own rough and tough style of house music built on rock solid kicks, but with a knack for party-blasting synth work. This EP is another one chock full of effective and tasteful tools. 'Big Fat Woman' is an epic opener that bounces on endlessly, while 'Orbit Dance' heads off into the cosmos. It's all balmy and swirling sci-fi pads and spaced out kicks, but the best tune of the lot might be 'Jaz Stick's.' It's got a familiar party feel with the muted but jazzy sax motifs powering it along over big, drunken kicks.
