Second time around for Blaze's 1993 outing under the Black Rascals alias, which famously featured Cassio Ware on vocals. "So In Love" has stood the test of time impressively, thanks in no small part to the way in which the "Shelter Mix" strikes a perfect balance between the swing of New Jersey garage, the melodiousness of early '90s deep house and the effortlessly soulfulness of Ware's vocals. The package contains two dubs: the near ambient bless of the cymbals-and-synths workout that is the "Piano Man Dub", and the fluid vibraphone style solos that stretch out across the groovy "Shelter Dub". Ware's "Radio Remix", which boasts AOR style guitar solos and a loose, hip-hop influenced beat pattern, completes a tidy package.
